We are currently developing our range of equality and diversity courses, however we would recommend that you take a look at the courses listed below.


StereNOtyping

We recently worked with a group of young people from HeadStart Hull, to develop the StereNOtyping training course. The young people came together and created a range of resources and information to address the issue of stereotyping. They focus on raising awareness of 7 specific stereotypes through their activities. After the success of this event, we are currently on the search for some funding to continue this project and deliver more events.


Equality and Diversity

This course is suitable for learners of all levels, including employers, managers, supervisors, full-time and part-time workers, as everyone in the workplace has a responsibility for supporting equality and diversity. The course has been designed as an introductory level and so no prerequisite training is needed.

Dyslexia Awareness

This course is designed for anyone who supports children with dyslexia in their learning, including teachers, teaching assistants, support staff, childminders, volunteers and care workers.

Dementia Awareness

This course is suitable for carers who are looking after a person with dementia or who wish to learn more about the condition. The course is suitable for learners of all levels, including those who work in care home settings, medical settings or simply relatives who are looking after a family member with the condition at home. The course is designed as an introduction to the topic of dementia and so no pre-requisite training or knowledge is needed.

Autism Awareness

This course is suitable for anyone whose job role requires them to work with autistic children, whether it’s on a full-time, part-time or voluntary basis. This includes teachers, tutors, nursery workers, carers, and activity leaders.

It’s also suitable for parents, guardians, and family members of autistic children. This course will provide a greater understanding of autism and how to help an autistic child. It’s written at an introductory level, and no previous knowledge is needed.
