Child Welfare Officer guidance and training

ERVAS and the East Riding Safeguarding Children Board have developed a short guide for Voluntary and Community Sector Child Welfare Officers.

This guide highlights the roles and responsibilities of Child Welfare Officers within their club, such as ensuring that children, young people, parents, volunteers, trustees and paid staff are aware of who their Child Welfare Officer is and what they do to safeguard children attending the club.

There will also be short 2 hour sessions in 2012 to go through the roles in more detail and promote the booklets.
