ERCAS and ERCVYS Registration Scheme

RE: EAST RIDING (council for) VOLUNTARY YOUTH SERVICES MEMBERSHIP SCHEME

East Riding (council for) Voluntary Youth Services (ERCVYS), in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council, offers membership to those groups and organizations working with children and young people who fulfill the essential fit for purpose criteria in the attached form.

Membership of ERCVYS will offer benefits such as:

  • Automatic registration with the following East Riding of Yorkshire Council services - Youth Service, Sports Development and ERCAS level 1, Play and Early Years
  • REDUCED Insurance
  • REDUCED rates for community use of schools
  • REDUCED cost of Criminal Records Bureau checks and support
  • Use of the ERCVYS logo by your group or organization
  • Training information
  • Newsletters and e-bulletins
  • Free Networking Events
  • Possible partnership developments
  • Membership of the East Riding Voluntary Youth Organisation Network

The ERCVYS logo will be promoted as a recognized quality mark throughout the East Riding of Yorkshire, meaning that a group is fit for purpose when working with children and young people.  This will help to reassure parents and carers, as well as other services and local funding streams.

If your group or organization does not have all the essential criteria in place, then we are more than happy to send you our toolkit containing all policy documents and other useful information to help you get fit for purpose.  We are also able to offer one to one visits with your group if you would prefer.

Once we have received the completed form, along with all copies of your policies and a letter regarding confirmation of CRB clearances for all volunteers/employees with regard to your group or organization, we will officially register your group and release our logo for your use.  We will, as part of the registration process, pass your details on to the following services within East Riding of Yorkshire Council:

  • East Riding Youth Service
  • East Riding Sports Development - ERCAS Level 1
  • East Riding Play and Early Years team

This will then enable your group to access further support, such as training, further accreditations; possible funding and you may also be eligible for reductions in the cost of hiring Local Authority venues such as sports grounds.

ERCVYS will carry out an annual health check for all its registered members, so that we are able to keep you updated of relevant changes and offer you the best possible support we can.

We will also maintain a directory of all ERCAS and ERCVYS registered groups and organizations, which may be shared with other organizations (not listed above) or interested parties.  If you do not wish your details to be on this data base please cross the box below:

I look forward to registering or re-registering your group or organization as a member of East Riding (council for) Voluntary Youth Services in the near future, and if you would like any support with your application, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours faithfully
